- “Customer,” “you,” or “your” refers to the individual or entity placing an order with AStar Printers
- “Services” refers to all printing and related services offered by AStar Printers
- “Products” refers to all printed materials including but not limited to business cards, brochures, flyers, banners, signage, and promotional items
- “Website” refers to astarprinters.com and all associated pages
- “Order” refers to any request for our printing services submitted through our website, email, or phone
3. Services Offered
AStar Printers provides a wide range of printing and sign services including:
- Business Cards, Brochures, Door Hangers, Flyers, Post Cards
- Folders, Magazines, Spiral Bound Books, Menus
- Labels and Stickers, NCR Books (NCR2, NCR3)
- Warehouse Barcodes, PAPS & PARS
- Banners/Backdrops, Window Vinyl Printing
- Sandwich Boards/Lawn Signs, Wallpaper Printing
- T-Shirts/Mug/Pen Printing, Stickers/Truck Decals
- Custom Digital and Surface Printing Solutions
4. Orders and Acceptance
4.1 Placing Orders

4.2 Order Confirmation
Once you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion.
4.3 Order Acceptance
Your order is accepted when we send you an acceptance email or begin production, whichever occurs first. A contract between you and AStar Printers will only exist once we accept your order.
4.4 Minimum Orders
Some products may have minimum order quantities. These will be clearly indicated on the product page or communicated during the quote process.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 Pricing
- All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated
- Prices are subject to change without notice
- Custom quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
- Prices do not include applicable taxes unless specified
5.2 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron
- PayPal
- Skrill
- Wire Transfer (for large orders)
5.3 Payment Terms
- Payment is required before production begins unless credit terms have been established
- For approved credit accounts, payment is due within 30 days of invoice date
- Late payments may incur interest charges of 2% per month or the maximum allowed by law
5.4 Taxes
All applicable federal and provincial taxes (GST, PST, HST) will be added to your order total.
6. Design and File Specifications
6.1 File Requirements
- Accepted file formats: PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, JPEG, PNG, TIFF
- Files must be print-ready with appropriate resolution (minimum 300 DPI)
- Include bleed area as specified for each product
- Use CMYK color mode for accurate color reproduction
6.2 Design Services
If you require design assistance, additional fees may apply. Design services are quoted separately.
6.3 File Approval and Proofs
- Digital proofs will be provided for your approval before production
- You are responsible for reviewing and approving all proofs
- AStar Printers is not responsible for errors that were present in approved proofs
- Production begins only after written approval is received
6.4 Color Matching
- We strive for accurate color reproduction but cannot guarantee exact color matching
- Monitor colors may differ from printed colors
- For critical color matching, Pantone color specifications should be provided
- Physical proof samples are available upon request for an additional fee
7. Production and Turnaround Time
7.1 Production Time
- Standard turnaround times vary by product and quantity
- Production begins after proof approval and payment clearance
- Rush services are available for an additional fee
- Turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees
7.2 Delays
We are not liable for delays caused by:
- Customer delays in providing files or approvals
- Payment processing delays
- Circumstances beyond our control (force majeure)
- Equipment failure or material shortages
8. Shipping and Delivery
8.1 Shipping Options
- Local delivery available in Calgary and surrounding areas
- Canada-wide shipping via courier services
- International shipping available upon request
8.2 Shipping Costs
- Shipping costs are calculated based on weight, dimensions, and destination
- Shipping charges will be added to your order total
8.3 Delivery Address
- You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information
- We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery due to incorrect addresses
- Signature may be required for delivery
8.4 Risk of Loss
Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon delivery to the carrier.
8.5 Inspection Upon Delivery
You must inspect products immediately upon delivery and report any damage or defects within 48 hours.
9. Quality Assurance
9.1 Our Commitment
We are committed to providing high-quality printing services and products that meet industry standards.
9.2 Manufacturing Tolerances
- Color variation of +/- 10% from approved proofs is considered acceptable
- Quantity variation of +/- 5% is considered acceptable for runs over 500 units
- Trimming tolerance of +/- 1/16″ is standard
9.3 Defects
Products are inspected before shipping. If you receive defective products, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
10. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
10.1 Custom Products
As our products are custom-made to order, we do not accept returns or offer refunds except in cases of:
- Manufacturing defects
- Errors made by AStar Printers
- Products that do not match approved specifications
10.2 Damaged Products
If products arrive damaged, you must:
- Notify us within 48 hours of receipt
- Provide photographic evidence of the damage
- Keep all packaging materials
10.3 Order Cancellations
- Orders can be cancelled before production begins for a full refund
- Once production has started, cancellation fees will apply
- Completed orders cannot be cancelled
10.4 Refund Process
Approved refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days to the original payment method.

11. Intellectual Property
11.1 Your Content
- You retain all rights to artwork, designs, and content you provide
- By submitting files, you grant us a license to use them solely for fulfilling your order
- You warrant that you own or have permission to use all submitted content

You represent and warrant that your order does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights, including:
- Copyrights
- Trademarks
- Patents
- Trade secrets
11.3 Prohibited Content
We reserve the right to refuse any order containing:
- Copyrighted material without proper authorization
- Trademark infringement
- Illegal, obscene, or offensive content
- Content that violates any applicable laws

We are not responsible for how products are used after delivery. You assume all responsibility for the use and distribution of printed materials.
13. Warranty Disclaimer

Our services and products are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
13.2 No Warranty of Merchantability
We make no warranty regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
13.3 Third-Party Materials
We do not warrant the quality or suitability of any third-party materials incorporated into your order.
14. Privacy and Data Protection
14.1 Personal Information

14.2 File Storage
- We retain your files for 30-90 days after order completion
- Files may be permanently deleted after this period
- Extended file storage is available upon request

- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
